CREEPFORGE

Tower Defense · Maze · Duel

There is no fixed path. The creatures walk wherever your towers leave room. Stall them long enough and you win.

The idea

The path is made by building

Creatures enter at the top and want to reach your base at the bottom. In between lies open ground. Every tower you place reroutes them. A straight line becomes a serpentine, the serpentine becomes a maze. The longer they walk, the longer they stand in your fire.

You build on a half grid: towers snap to half cells, and gaps stay exactly as wide as you leave them. A boulder for eight gold is the cheapest metre of detour you can buy.

Your builder raises the towers himself. He walks over, hammers, moves on. He carries a lightning bolt and a frost nova and gains experience. And yes, he really has to be there.

Thirteen maps

Every map is its own world

A river with fords, glacier walls, lava streams, cave chambers, a floating temple court. Each map changes where you can build and how you extend the route. Surviving waves, clearing maps and lasting longer in the endless circle unlock new battlegrounds. Map selection shows the exact requirements.

50

Co-op waves

Fifty waves, one shared pool of lives. Fliers, shield bearers, armoured enemies and magic-resistant groups demand different answers. Every tenth wave brings a boss. Survive the fiftieth and you may keep going forever.

12

Duel

You send creatures to your neighbour, they send theirs to you. Every shipment raises your income for the rest of the match. Up to twelve players in a ring; whatever breaks through walks on to the next one.

30

Endless circle

The creatures run a loop and keep coming back. They don't leak, they pile up. The solo limit is thirty, with twelve extra places for each additional teammate. Exceed that limit and the circle falls.

Plus a daily trial that is the same for everyone on the same day: one attempt, four allowed towers, no excuses.

Towers

Six base towers, seven planets, seven constellations

Fire
Frost
Earth
Storm
Poison
Arcane

Each power beats one other for double damage and loses half against a third: Fire → Poison → Arcane → Earth → Storm → Frost → Fire. Two base towers at level three, side by side, merge into a celestial body. A celestial body with the right neighbour becomes a constellation. Sacrifice three different celestial bodies and you get Sol Invictus, a solar beam that heats up in combat, carries its charge across targets and burns nearby enemies.

If you would rather not merge, specialise: the frost tower becomes Permafrost or Ice Shard, the earth tower Fault Line or Monolith. Twelve specialists with ten levels each. On top of that, three auras that apply to everything you have ever built.
